I ordered food at 6:25pm and when I got there, place empty and my food wasn't even MICROWAVED yet!

The reviews were right - this place is bad! Food is very tasteless, definitely missing something! Hot Sour Soup had absolutely NO "sour" in it. Even after adding my own vinegar, it still was lacking substantially in flavor. Black Pearl Special Chow Mein Noodles were terrible! Thick and pasty - not like anything Chinese, nor any other ethnic noodles for that matter - just wierd! And also tasteless! Black bean sauce with Chicken was way too watery, so the flavor was gone. Mu Shu Pork was just so-so, with too much cabbage and too doughy pancakes. We will scratch this place off the list - never going back again!

I want to like this place, I really do. Its in my hood. A friends daughter worked here and loved it. They seem nice. But I like a lot of flavor and this food does not have much. Perhaps its "healthy"? Home made noodles. Perhaps no msg. I would not call it bad food. Just fairly bland.

Took delivery. First time for this restaurant and NO UTENSILS; NAPKINS; or ANY CONDIMENTS of any kind. jUST THE FOOD IN THE CONTAINER. If it was to my home I could understand but they KNEW they were delivering to a business!!! ?????? NEVER AGAIN.

This is quite possibly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Maybe it's better when it's not delivered, and/or it doesn't take nearly two hours to arrive. The entire order was incredibly disappointing. The sesame chicken was horrible (low quality chicken and it was cold) The sauce for the sweet and sour pork was a total joke. The crab rangoon was cold and mushy. And to boot, we paid for an order of pot stickers which we failed to receive, though I imagine I didn't miss anything. I will never order from here again. What a complete waste of money and opportunity for a good dining experience!

Absolutely the best Chinese in the area! Home-made chowmein noodles an absolute MUST! Black Pepper Beef was so tasty, and I loved the Sweet and Sour Pork. If you're vegetarian, you have to try the Cranberry and Almond Tofu...and still worth a try even if you're not. The spring rolls were the only thing that didn't knock my socks off. Delivery has always been quick. The only time I've dined in was the one night the server was out sick and the driver was on vacation, and as apologetic as the owners were the service was good. I'm just guessing it was the owners, but they were helpful and sweet. Not the cleanest restaurant but the kitchen seemed clean, and the quality of the food COMPLETELY makes up for it.

Really? Are you kidding me?So we've been in the hood for over a year and I trusted the reviews. But tonight with the husband away,a tired mommy and a toddler that loves noodles I buckled and decided to give it a try.I just ordered broccoli beef and a side of homemade noodles thinking there is no way they could possibly f up beef and broccoli. Well by golly they did.... The crap looked reminicent of a Chinese new year dish at a scandanavian nursing home.....a bunch of grey beef and broccoli that looked boiled together no onions no garlic no ginger--It was awful. My toddler even knew it but ate it anyway. Noodles thick and overcooked no flavor... Ok well if you consider oil with essence of soy sauce a flavor.I don't like to give scathing reviews but I'm really surprised they are still in operation.

First time and last time I will order from this place. For spending 50 bucks on the food we got, NOTHING HAD FLAVOR. All of it was bland. So bland, we tried to add things into it to make it better. We ordered the sweet and sour pork and the sauce can't even be called a sauce. It was more like a soup, which, had no sweet or sour tastes to it. The egg flour soup had pieces of potato and some sort of veggies, a few that were identifiable. The calamari was pretty much fried calamari and nothing else to it. All horrible. I should have called and asked for my money back. I could have cooked something better and I suck at cooking.

I have been going here for years now. I love this place. Lunch specials (before 4 PM) are just the right amount of food for the right price, if you're looking to try them out on the cheap. The egg flower soup is incredible, has actual food in it (and no, I don't mean frozen corn), isn't gelatinous, and isn't that weird yellow color. This sets the theme. They use fresh vegetables and make their own sauces so nothing is a weird neon color AND they can tell you all the ingredients, which is great for those of us with food allergies. The sweet and sour chicken is delicious and has bell peppers, onions, and pineapple in with the sauce. It looks and tastes great! The Szechuan garlic chicken is delightful. The chicken in black bean sauce is REALLY good as leftovers the next day. The General Tso's chicken comes in hunks of battered breast meat as big as your fist and the sauce is really yummy. The hot pots are on a level of their own; seriously tasty and served piping hot! All of the fried rice options are delicious and not weird or gristly. The vegetarian spring rolls are very tasty, as are the dipping sauces provided.I could eat buckets of the stir fried green vegetables. The broccoli and snow peas and string beans are always so perfectly cooked, pleasantly crunchy, and smothered in a delicious garlic sauce. I've actually never had a poorly cooked string bean here and considering how much I love string beans, this is pretty incredible. They do make their own handmade noodles ($1 extra on noodle dishes, also available as a side) and they are very thick and tasty. If you like Snappy Dragon's handmade noodles, the Black Pearl noodles are thicker and longer. I like both very much.Service is generally very good. No kicking you out the door. Plenty of water and tea refills. The bill is brought in a reasonable amount of time and paired with a tasty fortune cookie (not in a plastic bag and never stale). I once came in with a last-minute party of 10+ with no warning and they were able to accommodate us with very little fuss. They also do free delivery with a $10 minimum order. As for the downsides, the beef dishes I've tried have all been very tasty (particularly the Hunan beef and orange beef), but often gave me an upset stomach. The chow mein is a little bland and relies on the fresh veggies for flavor instead of sauces, but you can ask them to spice it up which makes it more interesting. They use the bathrooms for storage, which feels a little weird. Sometimes the tables are a little sticky. Parking can be awkward. They aren't open on Mondays any longer. All in all, one of my favourite places. Especially for lunch. And especially that egg flower soup. Mmmm...

I have ordered takeout from this place twice and both times regretted it. The Sweet and sour pork sauce and the almond chicken sauce were bland and were more like a broth then a sauce. When I went to pour the sauce over our entrees, none of it stuck to the chicken. Delivery is free which is a plus and pricing was fair for the portion size. I just which it had comparable flavor compared to other Chinese place I have ordered takeout from

This place stinks! And I don't mean the food (which was actually not that bad), but there was an overwhelming odor of must/mildew/open drains...can't put a finger on it, but whatever it is, it effectively killed my appetite.I ordered the Special Ingredient Chow Mein (most places know this as "House Special") and opted for their homemade noodles. These things are massive!! Roughly the size of healthy earthworms and very dense...it wasn't necessarily what I was looking for, but if you're in the mood for "death by starch", it's a good option. The best feature were the veggies which were still crisp and very fresh. Perhaps tolerable for take-out, but I was glad when I was back in the fresh air outside...

I didn't really like it. It was bland and the sweet and sour sauce was odd.

We have been a bit put off by some bad reports and wanted to see for our self and possibly find somewhere close to home that worked for us. We walked in, were greeted by a male waiter who was neutral on the friendliness scale. We immediately noted a gas smell. We looked around and saw space heaters in use and decided not to stay. We thought we should tell the waiter. He said it's not gas but "the woks". So I am thinking gas fired wok? incomplete combustion, I'm still outta here! cya bye!
